October 4, 2016 – A reminder to all male fastball and fastpitch softball players attending either college or university that they are invited to apply for a 2017 Carrol Forbes Foundation (CFF) Scholarship. The deadline for submissions is November 15, 2016.
 
Applicants for the CFF scholarship must be players who have participated in an ISC Youth Development or ISC-sanctioned tournament, have completed their secondary school education and are continuing their academic career at a recognized post-secondary educational institution.
 
Applicants will be reviewed by the Carrol Forbes Foundation (CFF) Selection Committee before the end of the current calendar year, and the successful recipient or recipients will be informed shortly thereafter. Scholarship funding will be provided early in the following year.
 
The recipient or recipients will be chosen based on responses to questions about their academic plans and career ambitions as well as their commitment to softball. Supporting letters from school officials and softball references will be requested.
 
The CFF was established in 1995 in memory of ISC founder Carrol Forbes (1909-1982). The CFF provides funding for the ISC Scholarship Program from the annual earnings of the Foundation’s holdings.

Applicants for a scholarship may be any softball player who has participated in an ISC Youth Development or ISC-sanctioned tournament or event, has completed his secondary/high school education and is continuing his academic career at a recognized post-secondary institution.

The recipient or recipients will be chosen based on the applicants’ responses to questions about their academic plans and career ambitions, their commitment to softball and letters from school and softball references.

The Carrol Forbes Foundation, established in 1995 in memory of ISC founder Carrol Forbes (1909-1982), provides funding for the ISC Scholarship Program from the annual earnings of the Foundation.
