The ISC is announcing special operating rules that will be in place for 2021 only regarding eligibility for the 2021 World Tournament.
Regarding out-of-region players and team qualification requirements:
If the current North American cross-border restrictions and quarantine requirements are lifted prior to or as of June 1, the standing ISC rules on qualification and eligibility for teams and out-of-region players will apply.
Otherwise, effective June 2: All teams intending to play in the 2021 ISC World Tournament must play at least twice in invitational or qualifier tournaments either with or without their out-of-region players. The eligibility rules on page 142 of the 2020 Guide are still in effect.
If the current North American cross-border restrictions and quarantine requirements are lifted prior to or as of June 1, the standing ISC rules on PRAWN restrictions will apply.
Otherwise, effective June 2:
Teams may replace a PRAWN player or pitcher on their roster with another PRAWN player or pitcher for 2021 only.
Any player making the 2021 All-World Team(s) will not be carried over into 2022.
The existing 2019 PRAWN list will be carried over into 2022.
