dkaneNovember 4, 2016 – The International Softball Congress is pleased to announce the appointment of Dean Kane, of Denmark, Wisconsin, as Treasurer. Kane, 41,  replaces Charlie Smith who has held the position for the past 14 years.

Kane is a treasury analyst at a Wisconsin insurance firm, where he has worked for the past nine years. His love for working with numbers is second only to his love for the game of men’s fastball.

“I am looking forward to this new opportunity with the ISC and working with the executive committee and the regional commissioners to continue the unrivaled heritage of the ISC World Tournament,” says Kane.

Kane started playing fastball at the age of 16 for Denmark State Bank in local leagues and tournaments. He played with the lower level Circle Tap II team until 2001. In 2002, he joined the Circle Tap major men’s team as a player-coach and administrator, playing in his first ISC World Tournament during that year. Kane has been with Circle Tap since then and helps organize and run the annual Boys of Summer Tournament each July.

“The ISC Board of Directors welcomes Dean into its fraternity as a very important component of the ISC team and we look forward to working with him,” says ISC Executive Director Larry Fisher.
