June 28, 2016 – For Immediate Release

St. John’s, NL – The ISC Network will bring fastball fans around the world coverage of selected games from the Rumble on the Rock from Lions Park in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

Featuring the #1 Hill United Chiefs and #2 Toronto Gators, along with three very competitive local squads in NTV Hitmen, The Bigs and Kelly’s Pub Molson Bulldogs, The Rock Invitational is a qualifier for the 2017 ISC World Tournament. This marks the first time that St. John’s has hosted an ISC event.

Join Kris Abbott and Blair Setford along with special guests for coverage starting Thursday June 30 at 6:15 pm with Hill United vs The Bigs, followed by the Toronto Gators taking on Kelly’s Pub at 8:45 pm. In between games, we’ll carry a recognition ceremony for ISC Hall of Famer Colin Abbott, the only Newfoundlander in the Hall. Colin was inducted last August.

On Saturday July 2, the 1 vs 4 semi-final starts at 3 pm, followed by the 2 vs 3 semi-final at 5 pm with the Championship game at 7:30 pm.

Note that all times are Newfoundland time, which is 1 hour & 30 minutes ahead of the Eastern time zone. Please adjust for your local time zone.

Both the Chiefs and the Gators have strong connections to St. John’s and the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. From the Chiefs, field manager John Hill, Steve Mullaley, Brad Ezekiel and Jason Hill all hail from the province, while locals Sean Cleary, Ryan Boland, Shane Boland and Jeremy O’Reilly all play for the Gators.
