May 28, 2019  –  Mississauga, ON – Riding high on their dominating run to their first ISC World Tournament Championship last year, the New York Gremlins are the unanimous choice as the #1 team to start the 2019 fastball season.

The Gremlins will be challenged by Hill United Chiefs, who have spent most of the past six seasons as the top-ranked team, our host team for this year’s ISC World Tournament and last year’s finalist Circle Tap Dukes, and last year’s host Kitchener Hallman Twins.

A strong contingent of teams will be pushing to break into the final four as several members of the rankings committee commented on the difficulty in ranking teams outside of the top four.

The pre-season top 16 is as follows:

Rank Team
1 Clifton Park, NY New York Gremlins
2 Six Nations, ON Hill United Chiefs
3 Denmark, WI Circle Tap Dukes
4 Kitchener, ON Hallman Twins
5 Fargo, ND Kegel Black Knights
6 Ephrata, PA Bear Bottom Lodge
7 Kitchener, ON Hallman Cubs
8 Agoura Hills, CA J&B Bombers
9 Niagara Falls, ON Stompers

12 Elmira, ON Expos
13 San Antonio, TX Titans
14 Ostrander, MN Norsemen
15 Pueblo, CO Bandits

Per a motion passed at the 2016 ISC Board of Directors meeting, only the Top 16 ranked teams are now published and will be used as the basis for seeding at the ISC World Tournament. Also receiving votes, in alphabetical order, were: Appleton, WI Bar on the Avenue Buzz, DuQuion, IL AWP Lumberjacks, Grande Prairie, AB Pirates, St. John’s, NL 3 Cheers Pub, Waterdown, ON Hammer.

The 73nd annual ISC World Tournament will be held August 10-17, 2019 at Circle Tap Bar & Grille in Denmark, Wisconsin.
