2027 Legends Tournament
The 2027 Legends Tournament will be held from August 18-21 in Saskatoon, SK.

Eligibility Rules
1. Player Age Eligibility
Player must reach “Qualifying Age” of 50 in the calendar year of the
Designated Classification for participation.
2. Team Nationality
Legends roster shall be comprised of players from the nation of registry
and each team will be allowed up to eight (8) players from outside of their nation.
3. Pitcher Eligibility
Team rosters for all ISC Legends Championship play shall be restricted to four (4) 50+ yr old pitchers (any number of 60+ pitchers are allowed).
Pitcher is defined as any player on a 20-man roster who pitches in ISC Legends Championship competition.
The four (4) 50+ yr old pitchers are deemed to be the first four (4) 50+ yr old players who pitch in the ISC Legends Championship.
Playing Rules
1. Governing Rules
Tournament play will be governed by current Official Rules of USA Softball, with exceptions as noted in the current ISC Guide.
2. Roster Size
Official team roster shall be limited to 20 players.
3. Uniforms
Each team must have both home and away jerseys available for championship play.
All players and coaches must be dressed in complete playing uniforms, including caps of matching style and colour.
All uniforms must comply with the requirements of the current ISC Guide.
4. International Tie-Breaker
International Tie-Breaker rule will be implemented after the seventh inning.
Last batter from the previous inning will start on 2B.
5. Designated Runner (DR)
A Designated Runner (DR) can be used in Legends competition as follows:
- DR may run for anyone, but can only be used for one player each inning.
- DR may enter game to hit or play defense; this will eliminate the DR for the game.
- DR must be listed on Official Line-up Card prior to start of the game.
- If DR is injured, a replacement DR can be inserted. Original DR cannot re-enter the game as player.

6. Mercy Rule
ISC Mercy Rule is:
- After 3 innings 12-run lead
- After 4 innings 10-run lead
- After 5 innings 7-run lead
- 7. Forfeits
Any forfeit game will be recorded as a 7·0 score.
8. Courtesy Runner
Courtesy runner is allowed only with 2 outs and for the catcher only.
Playoff Seeding
Teams shall be seeded for playoff competition according to the following criteria in their pool play and then the overall seeding against the other pools.
If two or more teams remain tied after application of a criterion, the next criterion shall be applied until the tie is broken.
1. Win-loss record
2. Head-to-head
3. Fewest runs allowed (Counting a maximum of 7 runs allowed per game.)
4. Best run differential (Each game’s differential capped at +7 or -7.)
5. Fewest total runs allowed (No per-game limit.)
6. Coin flip
Run differential is calculated as runs scored minus runs allowed.
For the capped calculation, no team shall receive more than +7 or less than -7 for any individual game.
