The International Softball Congress World Tournament is a week-long celebration of elite men’s fastpitch, community, and tradition. This blueprint outlines how the tournament operates, what is required to host it, and what players, teams, and spectators can expect throughout the week.

Requirements for the Host Organization

(Host City / Local Organizing Committee)

To ensure the ISC World Tournament meets international standards, host organizations must provide:

Facilities & Infrastructure

  • 4 regulation men’s fastpitch diamonds with maximum 275-foot permanent fencing or minimum 250-foot temporary fences with high-grade lighting and bullpen space
  • Championship-caliber main diamond with seating around the infield for a minimum of 750 spectators and additional bleachers seating in the outfield
  • Scoreboards, PA systems, and two-storey press box facilities with dedicated broadband internet capacity
  • Dedicated practice facilities
  • On-site video capabilities (sponsorship opportunity)
  • On-site medical and/or athletic therapy support 
  • On-site concessions (sell your own concessions AND license outside food trucks or vendors for revenue generation) 
  • On-site permanent bathroom facilities (and portable bathrooms)
  • Ability to provide an enclosed beer garden for revenue generation (or ability to license the entire park)
  • Event parking (on-site or immediately adjacent)
  • Proximity to airport with rental car facilities

Operations & Staffing

  • Tournament operations staff and volunteers
  • Field maintenance crews with ability to service multiple fields at once
  • Security and crowd management
  • Ticketing and gate operations
  • Create, print and sell a tournament program to generate revenue via sponsorships and advertising

Community & City Support

  • Local and state/provincial government and tourism backing

  • World Tournament awards, recognition, and ceremonies
  • Live-streaming of games
  • Arranging a core group of scorekeepers

Host Responsibilities

  • Venue operations and readiness
  • Local logistics and volunteer management
  • Ticketing execution and on-site services
  • Community engagement and promotion
  • Local sponsorship execution
  • Event hospitality and fan experience

  • Printing and posting a large bracket board schedule
  • Scheduling PA announcers and helping to arrange local scorekeepers

  • Opportunity to create and host a revenue-generating event on Friday evening
  • Coaches and managers meeting for ISC World Tournament teams (Opening Saturday morning before the tournament games begin)
    • Meeting room for 40/50 coaches/managers/ISC representatives
  • Practice sessions and field access
  • Bat testing directly after C&M Meeting
