MELBOURNE, ON – The countdown to the 2026 ISC World Tournament in Melbourne, Ontario is officially on. With the action kicking off from August 8-15 at the JDT First Energy Veterans Memorial Fields, the ISC has released the official World Tournament rankings for this year’s stacked field.
While the preseason list featured 24 ranked squads, the final tournament list expanded to 34 competing teams ready to fight for championship glory.
Here is a look at the major storylines, shifts, and the complete rank list heading into the diamond this summer.
The Top 3 Stand Strong
At the absolute peak of the rankings, consistency rules. The Hill United Chiefs maintain their grip on the #1 spot, followed closely by the powerhouse local favorites, the #2 Bear Creek Gremlins and #3 Bear Creek Express. These three teams remain at the top with their qualifier and tournament performances.
Shaking Up the Top 5
While the top three remained unchanged from the preseason, we have a flip in the top five. JDT First Energy climbed one spot from their preseason #5 slot to secure the #4 rank. Meanwhile, the Northeast Drillers slid just one spot down into the #5 position.
Rounding out the rest of the top 10 are #6 Toronto Batmen, #7 Sandlot Merchants, #8 STK Fastball, #9 JB, and #10 Saskatoon Jacks.
Expanded Field and Notable Movement
With the field broadening to 34 teams, several programs are making major moves or entering the rankings fresh for the main event:
- Ohsweken Redmen made a jump, climbing from #15 in the preseason to #12 for the World Tournament.
- Kegel Black Knights enter the conversation as a dangerous threat at #13.
- New field additions rounding out the bottom of the tournament bracket include the CanWest Thunder (#29), Brokenbow Blazers (#30), Seattle Dirt Dogs (#31), Puslinch Kodiaks (#33), and Highgate Rock (#34).
