HILL UNITED CHIEFS DO IT AGAIN – 3-PEAT

MELBOURNE, ONTARIO, CANADA – August 15, 2026 – The International Softball Congress (ISC) is proud to announce that the Hill United Chiefs have once again been crowned Champions of the 2026 ISC World Tournament.

In a dramatic and tightly contested championship final held at JDT First Energy Veterans Memorial Fields the Chiefs defeated a formidable Bear Creek Gremlins squad by a score of 4-3. This victory cements Hill United’s place in fastpitch history, marking their third consecutive ISC World Tournament championship title.

The final showdown evolved into a classic pitching duel between two of the sport’s premier hurlers. However, Hill United proved their championship pedigree, finding the “Chiefs way” to secure the narrow victory.

The decisive offensive moments came courtesy of the long ball. Crucial home runs by Lenny Villalvazo and Tony Gonzalez provided the necessary cushion, proving to be the statistical difference in the one-run ballgame.

On the rubber, Marco Diaz delivered a performance that was nothing short of excellent. Diaz’s masterful command and dominance stifled the Bear Creek Express offense, anchoring the Chiefs’ defensive effort throughout the final.

“The ISC extends its deepest and most sincere congratulations to the Hill United Chiefs organization on this remarkable achievement,” said Chris Santos, ISC President. “Winning their second three consecutive ISC World Tournament titles is an extraordinary testament to the dedication, talent, and unwavering grit of the players, coaches, and staff. They have set a new benchmark for excellence in men’s fastpitch softball.”

The Hill United Chiefs began their championship run with a emphatic statement victory, defeating the Bear Creek Express 7-0 in the elimination brack final, setting the stage for their ultimately successful title defense.
