The Inaugural Northwestern Invitational Fastball Championships (NIFC) are being hosted by the Yellowknife Merchants Fastball Club in partnership with NWT Softball and the Yellowknife Fastball League. The event is being designed to bring together top fastball teams for a weekend of high-calibre competition in a truly unique setting.
Yellowknife offers an experience unlike our southern counterparts. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the Midnight Sun, with the fastball tournament and community events taking place in the glow of a northern summer. We also encourage teams to experience the culture, landscape, and hospitality of Canada’s north; and we will connect teams to local guide and tourism operators should anyone wish to explore what the Northwest Territories has to offer.
Tournament Details:
Dates are July 24-26, 2026; located in Yellowknife NWT
Games would begin on the morning of the 24th
Max 8 teams, with 3 games guaranteed
$8,000 prize to the winning team (dependent on 8 teams participating)

This tournament is an ISC Qualifier for the 2027 World Tournament in Saskatoon
$1,000 entry fee
Food & beverages onsite, tournament will be live streamed to Facebook
