Last weekend saw the competitive fire ignite over the Memorial Day holiday, and there’s absolutely no time to rest. We are heading straight into a massive four-tournament weekend stretching across Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

Last Weekend’s Action
Joe Santos Memorial (Pueblo, CO)
Down in the high desert of Pueblo, Colorado, teams converged on West Northern Avenue from May 22–24 to honor a true staple of the game at the Joe Santos Memorial. The tournament provided an intense, gritty environment as mountain-region powerhouses battled it out under the Colorado sun, securing vital early-season momentum and establishing the hierarchy for the summer ahead. The winner of the tournament was the Pueblo Bandits

Clark Evans Memorial (Newberg, OR)
Up in the Pacific Northwest, the Darnell Wright Softball Complex played host to an absolute masterclass by the Seattle Dirt Dogs. The Dirt Dogs tore through Pool A, stringing together a flawless undefeated weekend. They capped it off on Sunday with a commanding 7-0 shutout victory over the Westside Jacks. Meanwhile, the young NW Braves U23 squad showed phenomenal fighting spirit, taking on elite senior talent and gaining invaluable program-building experience.

Tijuana Fastpitch Tournament (Tijuana, Mexico)
International fastpitch flavor takes center stage this weekend at Estadio Egresados as a stacked field splits into two formidable groups.
- Grupo A: Peñas Team, Kraken, Maquinado López, and Huracanes CMX.
- Grupo B: CK Sports, Pistones ALZ, TJ Bandits, and MC 77’s.
Action kicks off Friday night at 7:30 PM PT when Peñas Team handles the opening frame against Huracanes CMX.

12th Annual Stampede City Stomp (Calgary, AB)
The Canadian fastpitch scene takes a giant leap forward as Calgary Industrial Softball hosts the prestigious Stampede City Stomp. A highly competitive field featuring regional titans like:
– Calgary Bandits
– Calgary Raiders
– Calgary Jays
– Calgary Pirates
– Calgary Ravens
– Saskatoon Merchants
– Broken Bow Blazers
– Grande Prairie Pirates
– Treaty 7 Kings
– Delisle Pride U23
These teams will battle it out across three diamonds. Friday night features a local rivalry block right out of the gate at 6:00 PM with the Bandits taking on the Raiders, setting up a grueling 15-game round-robin schedule before the playoff brackets lock in.

Rodney Fox Memorial Softball Tournament (Stevens, PA)
East Coast fastpitch takes the spotlight in Pennsylvania, splitting action between the main complex in Stevens and the secondary diamonds “Out of the Park” in Denver, PA.
- Pool A: Sandlot Merchants, Rays, Professional Petroleum, Rhinos.
- Pool B: Team 518, RM Kurtz Enterprise, Precise, Rangers.
The tournament drops the gates on Friday night with a highly anticipated 6:45 PM matchup between the Sandlot Merchants and the Rays. The action is relentless all through Saturday, building toward Sunday morning’s crossover elimination games and the Championship final at 2:00 PM.

Hustlehogs Icebreaker (DeKalb, IL)
Rounding out our colossal four-tournament weekend is the Hustlehogs Icebreaker, hosted at Katz Park on West Dresser Road in DeKalb, Illinois. Known for producing hard-nosed, Midwest-style fastpitch, this qualifier will see teams throwing their best arms early in the season to lock down their spot on the national radar.
