While pitching is often the dominant story, the ISC World Tournament has been a stage for some of the most impressive displays of power in the history of fastpitch.
Today, we honor the elite list of sluggers who have achieved a rare and thrilling benchmark: hitting 6 Home Runs in a single tournament. This is the single-season, single-tournament ISC record, shared by five absolute titans of the game.

The Trailblazer: Jarrad Martin (1999)
A true ISC icon, Jarrad Martin became the first to reach the magical 6-home run mark in 1999. Known for his intense focus and powerful swing, Martin set a standard that would stand alone for six years, cementing his legacy as one of the game’s greatest offensive threats.
The Encore: Patrick Shannon (2005)
Patrick Shannon joined the record book in 2005. His offensive outburst that year was a massive narrative of the tournament, proving that Martin’s feat was not isolated, and setting up a new era of power-hitting expectations.
The Third Titan: Donny Hale (2012)
It took another seven years before Donny Hale matched the record. Hale’s 2012 campaign was a display of consistency and clutch power, validating the 6-HR mark as a standard of ISC excellence.
The Chief Duo: Nick Shailes (2016) & Brad Ezekiel (2018)
In recent years, the record has been matched by two long-time teammates and mainstays of the dominant Hill United Chiefs organization, Nick Shailes and Brad Ezekiel.
- Nick Shailes (2016): An incredibly dynamic infielder, Shailes powered his way to 6 HRs in 2016. While he is a legendary Chief, fans will note he is playing for the Toronto Batmen in this year’s tournament.
- Brad Ezekiel (2018): Brad Ezekiel rounded out this incredible list in 2018. A Fan-Vote favorite, he was recognized as the Best Player for the 2010s in a comprehensive ISC fan vote, highlighting his sustained excellence. Brad continues to patrol the outfield for the Hill United Chiefs this season.
