The International Softball Congress is proud to announce that Brad Ezekiel has been voted by fans as the ISC Best Player of the 2010s, capturing an impressive 25.8% of the total votes cast.
The Harbour Main/Holyrood, Newfoundland and Labrador native edged out a competitive field that included Nick Shailes (24%), Blair Ezekiel (22.3%), and Jeff Goolagong (9.2%) to claim the prestigious honor. This fan-voted recognition cements Ezekiel’s status as one of the most dominant players in modern men’s fastpitch softball.
Dominant ISC World Tournament Performance
Ezekiel’s resume at the ISC World Tournament is nothing short of legendary. He is at the top with multiple home runs in a single game with two homers on multiple occasions—first in 2016 and again in 2018, both while representing Hill United, Six Nations ON. His power display at the 2018 tournament was particularly remarkable, as he led all players with 14 RBIs while playing for the Hill United Chiefs.
Career Accomplishments
Throughout the 2010s, Ezekiel established himself as a cornerstone player for elite programs across North America. He spent the majority of the decade with the Hill United Chiefs of Six Nations, Ontario, representing them from 2012 through 2024. Prior to that, he played for the Chicago/NY Gremlins in New York City in 2011.
Ezekiel is the prototypical power-hitting outfielder who combines excellent defensive range with an disciplined and explosive approach at the plate. He is famous for drawing high walk totals, pitchers are terrified of his power, yet he still maintains a remarkably high batting average. This unique combination of patience, power, and precision has made him one of the most feared hitters in the game.
Newfoundland’s Fastpitch Legacy
Hailing from Newfoundland and Labrador—a province renowned for producing elite fastpitch talent—Ezekiel has put together a legendary career on the provincial, national, and international stages. He is widely regarded as one of the most dangerous and clutch hitters in modern men’s fastpitch softball, consistently delivering in high-pressure tournament situations.
The International Softball Congress congratulates Brad Ezekiel on this well-deserved recognition and thanks all the fans who participated in voting for the Best Player of the 2010s.
