Jack Grafmeier Memorial Tournament (Kimberly, WI)
Meanwhile, at Sunset Park in Wisconsin, the Kimberly Recreation Association hosted a high-stakes tournament featuring elite regional talent and plenty of drama.
Saturday Pool Play (June 6)
The Madison Bar Blues opened up Saturday looking like the team to beat, securing back-to-back blowout shutouts:
- Blues 7, Dolan 0 (WP: Cristian Pacheco | LP: Enrique Rodriguez)
- Blues 11, Bar DCP 0 (WP: Matt Stuhr | LP: William Sanchez)
In Pool B, things got wild. The Kegel Black Knights started strong with a 3-1 win over Wabash Pride (WP: Zach Pierce), but were immediately thrown into a slugfest against Bar Buzz. Bar Buzz walked away with a thrilling 10-9 victory (WP: Joel Goodall | LP: Michael Jamieson). Bar Buzz kept their foot on the gas later in the afternoon, overpowering Dolan and Murphy 11-4 behind the pitching of Mike Skora.
Championship Sunday (June 7)
Sunday’s single-elimination bracket flipped the script, culminating in a dramatic showdown between the weekend’s two top offenses.
- The Semifinals: In the early morning games, Wabash Pride bounced the Bar Blues with a stunning shutout, while Dolan and Murphy snuck past Bar DCP. However, the top seeds awaited them at 11:00 AM. Bar Buzz handily took care of Wabash Pride, and the Kegel Black Knights blanked Dolan to set up a highly anticipated rematch in the finals.
- The Final: In a complete defensive reversal from Saturday’s 10-9 high-scoring affair, the Kegel Black Knights exacted sweet revenge on the Lower Diamond. Kegel shut down the red-hot Bar Buzz offense, cruising to an 11-0 victory to claim the 2026 Jack Grafmeier Memorial Tournament Championship!
6th Annual Orlando & Darrell Spencer Memorial Fastpitch Tournament (Gallup, NM)
Down in New Mexico, the action was intense at the Spencer Memorial, featuring a double-elimination format that tested every team’s depth. When the dust settled, the Pueblo Bandits stood tall as champions, led by an iconic individual performance on the mound.
The Winners’ Bracket
The tournament bracket saw early statements made on Saturday morning. The Dukes advanced past Rio Puerco Fastpitch, while the Red Leaf squad dispatched the AZ Brewers. Meanwhile, the Pueblo Bandits started their march by handling Sam’s Choice in their 11:00 AM opener.
By Saturday afternoon, the Bandits faced off against Red Leaf in a marquee matchup, with Pueblo stringing together a stellar performance to secure a spot in Sunday’s late bracket games.
Sunday Drama & The Final
Red Leaf refused to go quietly. After dropping into the loser’s bracket, they fought their way all the way back to the grand final on Sunday afternoon to earn a rematch with the undefeated Bandits.
The championship game, however, belonged completely to Pueblo. The Pueblo Bandits put on a offensive clinic, defeating Red Leaf 10-3 in a dominant final performance to take home the hardware.
Tournament MVP: The weekend belonged to Pueblo’s Julio Moreno, who put the team on his back. Moreno took home tournament MVP honors after serving as the winning pitcher in both the crucial semifinal and the 10-3 championship game.
Looking Ahead: With three major tournaments in the books, the ISC landscape is shaping up to be incredibly competitive this summer. Congratulations to STK Fastball, the Kegel Black Knights, and the Pueblo Bandits on their spectacular weekend victories!
